Position Description
Position Description:
• Facilitate SOX testing of entity level controls and act as an advisor to Corporate Comptroller functions on SOX related matters
• Provide support leading to qualitative improvements in controls, reduce/eliminate control deficiencies
• Take the initiative to monitor overall SOX remediation efforts and provide insight into process improvement opportunities.  Ideally, we would like someone who has well thought out opinions that they will share with us.
• Assist in the performance of walkthroughs with Audit (internal and external)
• Participate in the quality control review of subsidiary financial reporting
• Liaise with Internal Audit
• Participate in the quarterly and annual subsidiary/segment level 302 certification process
• Participate in various projects related to improvement and refinement of the Comptroller’s level internal control framework

Position Requirements:
• 3-6 years of audit or substantive SOX related work.  Big 4 experience is preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements
• Experience with flowcharting preferred
• Good project management skills, organized, able to multitask
• Desire to take a leadership role and foster strong relationships with executives in our subsidiaries and corporate departments
• Proven writing skills, able to articulate complex ideas in layman’s terms
• Collaborative, team orientation, able to influence, build consensus, negotiate
• Self motivated, detail oriented, ambitious, driven, capable, smart
