Senior IT Project Manager - Basking Ridge, NJ

 

Position Description:

Positions in this function are involved in the definition, management, and implementation of significant technology focused projects. Focuses on IT projects, not for use as project management in non-IT roles. Positions are business specialists and technology generalists that manage, direct and interface with business clients. Align technology solutions with business strategies, working primarily with senior management. Proactively identify opportunities, conduct analyses, needs assessments, cost/benefit assessments and broker other IS services. Includes those involved in release management.

Qualifications



Qualifications:


  • IT Project Management experience throughout the full SLDC - 3+ years

  • Collaboration experience with multiple discipline teams - 3+ years

  • Experience in Resource Management - 3+ years

  • Experience in Critical Path Management - 3+ years


Assets:



  • Ability to develop detailed delivery plans, track/communicate progress towards deliverables and milestones, and escalate issues when appropriate



  • Experience managing complex software development projects/programs



  • Ability to manage risk and develop and communicate mitigation plans



  • Ability to understand a complex delivery environment and common issues related to software delivery



  • Comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, from development leads to senior management



  • Experience working in a matrix environment with on and off-shore development staff



  • Knowledge of PlanView, HP Service Desk, and Test Director
