The Asset and Wealth Management runs on a strategic framework built on IBM Websphere Portal Server as the platform. Hired Application Developer will join the existing global team that supports Private Bank and Private Client Services businesses running on IBM Websphere Portal Server platform.  As part of working in this team you will be supporting the existing application platform and creating new solutions based on IBM Portal 6.0/6.1and Websphere Application server 6.1+. This application platform leverages JDBC and web service calls (SOA) to gather data from Sybase Warehouse. Responsibilities include the development of shared portal / application server components. You will work on development projects and support/coordinate work in UAT/Performance environments with focus on tuning/  testing of the web-tier/database components. You will adhere to UI standards and Portal standards set by Standards group and use tools like PMD to ensure the team is adhering to the standards.




Qualifications




  • 7+ years of strong SDLC experience using Java-J2EE, SQL technologies.

  • Strong Object-oriented design & programming skills, including strong working knowledge and experience in using UML and design patterns

  • Experience on IBM Portal development and deployment (preferably using RAD IDE)

  • Agile Internet applications: Ajax, Applets

  • Middleware services (EJB, RMI, Web services)

  • Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate or IBATIS)

  • Database programming: (SYBASE) + Ideas on SQL tuning is strongly recommended.

  • ETL Concept and hands on experience on Informatica

  • Operating System: Windows and Unix

  • Also Unix shell programming, ANT Build exposures will be added advantage/preference.
