Snacktree International is a rapidly expanding snack food distributor seeking a highly motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of route sales representative. For the past 19 years we have been providing snacks to health food stores, gourmet food stores and delicatessens in NY/NJ/CT/MA. We are the exclusive distributor for one of the fastest growing brands of snacks in the NY Metro Area. We currently market over two hundred high quality, all-natural products targeted at health conscious, upscale consumers. In order to continue our explosive growth we need to hire a route sales representative for our Manhattan territory.
The route sales representative, starting with a substantial base of retail customers, will be expected to expand sales through the introduction of new products and the acquisition of new accounts. Growth will be achieved through merchandising, promotion, and distribution of a full line of snacks and the development of close relationships with accounts. The representative will receive the support and guidance of highly experienced management.
The ideal candidate is personable, conscientious, hard working, and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire to succeed. Experience in distribution, retail sales and/or route sales is required. Since the position requires the frequent loading and unloading of a truck in order to make store deliveries (boxes are no more than 12 pounds each) under all weather conditions, physical fitness is essential. As the representative will be driving a small truck, a good driving record is also necessary.
Compensation is by sales commission, with a starting guaranteed minimum of $3,000 per month. It is possible for commissions to increase to $4,000-$5,000 per month within the first year. We offer retirement and health insurance benefits.
