Position Description
Equifax is seeking accomplished outside sales professionals to accelerate our growth in the Capital Markets space, which is a high priority growth area for the company. Equifax has recently launched innovative data and analytic solutions for whole loan and mortgage-backed security investors, insurers, and others and is seeking experienced sales professionals who can help drive adoption of these new solutions in the mortgage capital markets space.
This is a highly visible and consultative sales role whose objective is to proactively seek new business opportunities and promote large ($100K - $1M) Equifax Capital Markets solutions to mortgage investors, insurers, and others in the mortgage secondary market. This individual(s) will be expected to establish relationships and communicate the value proposition of Equifax’s solutions with Managing Directors, Trading Desk Strategists, Traders, Researchers, and Quantitative Analysts. A solid understanding of technology, structured finance, and information used in the mortgage secondary market is required.
The primary responsibilities of this individual(s) will be to acquire new customer relationships as well as manage and grow existing relationships for Equifax. The selected individual(s) will be responsible for developing a sustainable, quarter over quarter pipeline achieving target revenue objectives. S/he will also respond to direct leads, qualifying prospects and leading sales efforts. It is expected that this individual will act as the primary client contact for new prospects from initial contact through contract signing, then will be responsible for ongoing management and cross-sale efforts for those accounts. S/he will be responsible for organizing his or her activities to meet sales objectives by establishing personal relationships, identifying and overcoming obstacles, directing internal activities, and effectively allocating his/her attention and resources.
Position Requirements
• Three to five years of sales experience in the mortgage secondary market
• Understanding of how Bloomberg, Intex, pool- and loan-level data, and other information and technology tools used in the mortgage secondary market by buy-side, sell-side, and mortgage research firms
• Very comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and handle fast-paced and challenging job demands
• Bachelors degree or higher
• At least 60% of time will be spent in the New York City area

• Experience with credit bureau data
• Experience with non-mortgage ABS
