Job Summary:
Manages complete operations of the offices within the given region including sales, service and general administration. The objective of this position is to grow both the revenue and profitability of the region.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within the defined territory of the New York Metro area. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
• Establishes sales territories, quotas, goals and counsels/mentors subordinates concerning sales and advertising techniques.
• Ensures the New York Metro area carries a positive EBITDA number year after year while maintaining growth and achieving all financial targets.
• Assists in the design of sales and marketing programs and assists in the setting of short and long-term sales strategies within the territory.
• Regularly prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and forecasts.
• Analyzes sales statistics and reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, and pricing. May develop or assist in sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company. May coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
• Represents Company at trade shows or meetings to promote services.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures of the office to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Participates in public speaking engagements at seminars, trade shows or press events.
• Works closely with and locally manages the relationship with our strategic partners such as Citrix, Microsoft, RSA & Avaya (among others)
• Will sell directly to customers and achieve an agreed upon quota that is in line with hitting the sales & GP targets of the area.
• Support of the services delivery organization in meeting the following objectives:
o Billable utilization targets o Service gross margin targets.
o Customer Satisfaction Metrics
 
Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related area, and at least five years of experience in the sales field.
- Experience managing (farmer and hunter type) sales reps in a territory.
- Cisco, Citrix and Managed Services experience a major plus.
- Ability to recruit and evaluate sales talent is a must.
- Two to three years of previous sales management experience is desired.
- Must have a strong knowledge of the information technology marketplace. Knowledge of server-based computing is strongly desired.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to successfully lead and direct the activities of others in the sales and services delivery arena.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
