Job Description

HOUSING CASE MANAGER
This position assists homeless people living HIV/AIDS in obtaining appropriate affordable housing. The Housing Case Manager serves PWA’s enrolled in the Bailey House Case Management Program and homeless PWA’s linked to CBO’s or AIDS service programs that lack housing placement services. This position pays particular attention to AIDS housing vacancies including mixed-use and scatter site apartment housing projects, and rental-based housing

Additional Qualifications:
BA/BS required in the Human Services field.
Minimum one year experience obtaining housing for homeless people living with HIV/AIDS.

Extensive knowledge of local AIDS housing service providers and related resources required. Ability to negotiate the HASA housing placement system and other related HRA/HASA systems on behalf of homeless people living with HIV/AIDS.
Ability to negotiate leases with landlords, realtors and management firms. Knowledge of producing

Excel spreadsheets to keep and track information as it relates to the placements of clients into apartments. Excellent communications skills with proven ability to represent Bailey House in the housing market, vendors, clients and staff.
