Job Description:

The Senior Web Analyst will act as the primary analytical resource with the Director of Online Marketing to plan/evaluate website performance and maximize channel sales opportunities to ensure our websites are delivering optimal value to the organization. S/he will support the analytic needs of multiple CT Corporation and Bizfilings websites by analyzing web traffic using clickstream tools, and producing reports that provide insight and recommendations to optimizing online marketing investments. S/he will collaborate with external partners such as Agencies to assist with data collection and reporting. S/he will perform marketing campaign and investment analysis for all online advertising, and website related activities including social media.
S/he will work with the website technology teams to closely identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements. S/he will also partner outside the business unit and outside the company to ensure that best practices in metrics and decision making are being exposed to management and core website decision makers.

1. Works with Director, Online Marketing and product teams to develop online marketing strategies and implement online marketing plans to achieve strategic and financial goals for CT Corporation and Bizfilings.
2. Works with CT Corporation and BizFilings staff to develop online promotional plans for products.
3. Analyze marketing tactics to maximize sales and margin opportunities
4. Analyze performance of channel marketing efforts, including paid search, SEO, affiliate and email programs.
5. Participate in site builds/relaunches to ensure proper measurement tools and optimization tools are in place prior to launch
6. Create and deliver periodic reports (Excel, BI tools, clickstream analytics).
7. Lead development of senior management dashboards.
8. Perform website behavior and customer experience analysis.
9. Coordinating tags and tracking parameter implementations.
10. Lead creation and completion of Multivariate and A/B testing documents (from hypothesis creation to influencing creatives to identifying success metrics) and post test analysis.


Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge / Background / Experience
o Experience within a B2B direct marketing environment. Industry specific experience preferred
o Exhibit a high level of expertise in driving the data strategy across multiple "listening posts" (websites, surveys, testing, Sales & Marketing CRM systems, market research etc).
o Three to four years of working with standard clickstream analysis tools: Omniture, click, WebTrends, HBX, CoreMetrics etc.
o Two years of experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys and market research.
o Three to five years of experience in one or more roles in an online ecommerce or online support environments.
o High level of expertise with Business Intelligence tools, two plus years, such as Brio, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Cognos etc with experience writing and tuning sql queries in a online or offline environment..
o Mid-level expertise in the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies and a minimum one year experience measure success of SEM/PPC and SEO campaigns / efforts
o Three to five years of experience in using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills
o Experience with multivariate or AB (split) testing
o Experience with Eloqua or other demand generation/marketing automation tools and processes.
o Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g. Web Position Gold, Maximine, KeywordDiscovery, KeywordMax, WordTracker) a plus
o Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
o Exposure to project management skills, business process redesign principles, tools and techniques a plus

o Handles multiple tasks, switches priorities and focuses as needed.
o Exhibits high degree of pro-activeness in analyzing customer behavior using available data to influence changes on the website.
o Understands the complex web ecosystems and best practices and applies this knowledge to their work.
o Collaborates on creation of project plan and tasks for the team.
