I am currently seeking a Director of Marketing Services to join my client''s Market Research Group.

 

TITLE:                              Director, Marketing Sciences

REPORTS TO:                  Executive Director, Market Research

DIRECT REPORTS:          Yes

SALARY RANGE:             Up to $150,000 - $175,000 base, plus bonus and stock options

RELO:                               Full relo available

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Director of Marketing Sciences is responsible for developing and systematizing company understanding of effective marketing processes.  Methods include gathering evidence-based support for promotional resource allocation decisions, benchmarking best marketing practices and evaluating the effectiveness of individual promotional programs, both traditional and non-traditional.  Director also serves as a center of expertise in quantitative data analysis, market modeling and forecasting methodology.

 Duties and Responsibilities
 

Since these activities span all therapeutic areas and customer segments, encompass both new and in-line products, and deal with traditional as well as novel promotional vehicles (such as the Internet), the Director of Marketing Sciences finds potential customers in all Marketing groups as well as with Senior Management.  As an expert in quantitative data sources and analysis, the Director also provides regular training and support to colleagues within market research.  This role is looked to as a leader in decision support science and is relied upon throughout the organization.


 

In order to ensure that the Director maintains a "leading edge" perspective on best marketing practice, data sources and analytical methodologies, the Director of Marketing Sciences, keeps up to date on relevant news and innovations, introducing what is useful to the marketing organization and providing training as appropriate.


Currently, this position has responsibility for the supervision of two senior analysts, therefore requires prior management experience.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:
7-10 years of relevant business experience with at least 4 of those years spent in the pharmaceutical industry
Advanced secondary analytics expertise
Extensive data vendor experience
The ideal candidate will be fluent in statistical analysis and proficient in the use of either SAS or SPSS
Prior management experience
Desire to work in collaborative environment
