Deloitte Services LP is currently searching for a Marketing Communications Leader who will lead the Pacific Southwest Region Marketing Communications team within Marketing & Business Development (M&BD).

Responsibilities include:

    *
      Oversee the development of strategies and tactics for pursuits/proposals and other externally focused client deliverables to enhance our brand and create a competitive advantage for the Deloitte U.S. Firms
    *
      Actively participate in the M&BD leadership team to create and implement strategy governing the direction of the M&BD
    *
      Work with the M&BD leadership team to ensure M&BD is in alignment with U.S. Firms strategy
    *
      Collaborate with members of M&BD and U.S. Firms (internal client) leadership to create on-target go-to-market strategies and messages
    *
      Actively participate in the organization-wide Marketing Communications team and lead national resources in completion of special projects as needed
    *
      Provide leadership on various task forces and workstreams both within M&BD and across the organization
    *
      Research professional services marketing trends and competitive intelligence to keep pursuit consultants abreast of the most effective pursuit strategies
    *
      Understand the internal client regional and industry marketplace realities and ensure team is kept appropriately apprised
    *
      Ensure the use of The Deloitte Approach in pursuit strategies
    *
      Facilitate strategy development for all aspects of significant pursuits
    *
      Personally advise and counsel partners on pursuits
    *
      Assist partners in effectively leveraging U.S. Firms communication themes and differentiators · Make appropriate use of competitive intelligence and market data
    *
      Collaborate with organization leadership to qualify business development opportunities
    *
      Perform debriefs with clients on significant wins and losses and produce a sustainable advantage by taking marketplace insights and competitive knowledge to a higher level
    *
      Ensure pursuit consultants benefit from competitive intelligence and other key lessons derived from client debriefs
    *
      Work with engagement team and pursuit consultants to develop creative solutions to tricky competitive problems
    *
      Coach teams for significant presentations
    *
      Work closely with designers and writers to brainstorm about presentation materials that will differentiate U.S. Firms
    *
      Recruit, manage, motivate, and retain a team of highly skilled writing and design professionals
    *
      Ensure quality and responsiveness of all work done by Marketing Communications professionals
    *
      Ensure Marketing Communications team members have access to appropriate professional development as needed
    *
      Assess the needs of Marketing Communications professionals and develop and mentor in keeping with both individual goals and U.S. Firms strategies
    *
      Resolve any conflicts quickly and fairly
    *
      Work with writers and designers to ensure brand identity is being used for greatest impact
    *
      Develop innovative messaging both verbally and visually for key strategic target teams

    *
      Exceptional project management and people management skills
    *
      Superlative communication and presentation skills
    *
      Outstanding ability to work with people at all levels and must be a team player
    *
      Exceptional ability to deal with senior executives
    *
      Ability to work in a demanding, competitive environment
    *
      Must be able to work with grace and efficiency under pressure
    *
      Experience in professional services environment preferred
    *
      Ability to interact effectively with individuals at every level of an organization
    *
      Strong managerial skills, ability to manage upward and to negotiate conflicting demands from senior partners
    *
      Ability to negotiate sometimes conflicting demands of writers and designers
    *
      Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred - English or Strategic Communications preferred
    *
      10 to 15 years of relevant experience
