Purpose
Work closely with the SVP-Chief Communications Officer to lead the development and implementation of integrated communications globally across AECOM’s business lines.
Foster relationships with corporate and business leaders and communicators to enable a culture of collaborative and open communication.
Deliver those communications with operational excellence and fiscal prudence.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Help craft an annual business line communications plan, with specific measurable objectives, tactics, and aligned metrics.
Advise on and assist in the drafting of business line executive communications: Provide information and editorial assistance as needed to business line communicators for chief executive communications, including but not limited to, memos, scripts, speeches, presentations, and slides.
Create business line communications campaigns and messages: As needed, develop business line communications campaigns for events or initiatives, incorporating key messages and leveraging multi-media channels. Produce individual messages supporting rollout of corporate events/initiatives at the business line level.
Develop and manage communications channels: Manage and lead the evolution of existing business line communications channels and spearhead the creation of new channels that use digital and print media.
Partner with communications peers: Work closely with Investor Relations, Public Relations, Internal Communications and Marketing leaders in Corporate as well as their peers in the business lines to support the ongoing operations of a global, collaborative communications function.
Requirements
7-10 years’ communications, marcom, or media work experience, with a premium on experience working with multiple media types.
A proven team player, who thrives in a collaborative setting and possesses a confident management style and leadership ability; evidence of discretion and tact in dealing with people and issues.
Must have experience working within a global, multi-site company.
Proven track record of driving and managing change in a large complex organization.
Ability to thrive under the pressure of multiple deadlines.
Experience in creating, planning, and managing communications projects to deliver value-added solutions on time and within budget.
