Job Description:

The Head of Strategic Marketing is responsible globally for all strategic marketing efforts at Liquidnet. This role will develop, oversee, and implement strategic marketing plans for Liquidnet business areas, using market research, competitive analysis, customer insight, and business planning as inputs. Responsibilities Identify target markets, segments, and stakeholders, and define market positioning for each. Represent marketing function during annual goal-setting process with company leadership. Consult with leadership and business units on an ongoing basis regarding marketing needs, issues, and opportunities. Create overall marketing plan for Liquidnet businesses. Ensure a coherent plan across all projects in portfolio with appropriate success metrics identified. Ensure business verticals within Liquidnet are supplied with appropriate Marketing resources and support. Hire and manage staff consisting of Strategic Marketing Managers and Leads for various business teams at Liquidnet. Hire and manage Regional Marketing Mangers for Liquidnet’s regional business. Work with staff to create, manage, and ensure the success of marketing initiatives. Responsibility for the Media and Communications Group within larger Experience Group. Serve on the Experience Group leadership team (along with the Head of UX and the Head of Customer Insight). Contribute to a creative, collaborative culture that supports innovation. Inspire the teams you work with. Stay abreast of trends and innovation in marketing; share that information within Liquidnet through presentations, written reports or training. Represent Liquidnet as a thought leader in the external marketing community: speak at conferences; publish papers, articles and blog posts; network with peers, etc. Mentor, engage, inspire, and collaborate with our team of designers, marketers, and Experience Group colleagues. Collaborate with other disciplines such as Architecture & Research, Corporate Strategy, GTE, PMO as well as product teams, and executives. Qualifications 15+ years of demonstrated excellence in the field. Advanced degree in Marketing alongside a degree or specialization in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines; or equivalent training Experience in the financial services industry—preferably the institutional trading, asset management, or broking industries—or a demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly and effectively. Demonstrated mastery of Product Marketing field. You have worked in product marketing, established this capability in an organization, and managed teams of product marketers. A demonstrated history of developing strategic marketing plans, successfully managing the delivery of those plans, and effectively measuring the results of the specified activites. Demonstrated understanding, and experience in managing, the entire marketing mix—fully integrated campaigns. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with business, technology, creative, and sales teams. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Excellent presentation skills.
