This is a third shift, over night position

The Logistics Supervisor effectively coordinates the dedicated fleet by maximizing driver and equipment utilization while exceeding customer expectations through the direction of dispatch operations and all related reporting requirements to the customer and higher management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Supervises Logistics Coordinators on a day-to-day basis 


• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers 


• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments 


• Manages driver payroll data 


• Supervises the driver scheduling process 


• Coordinates on the customer invoicing process 


• Coordinates load completions and data entry into SCMS 


• Coordinates with Maintenance Department on any vehicle maintenance requests 


• Provides direction and backup coverage throughout project 


• Reconciles common carrier invoice and approvals 


• Assists Project Manager on labor and safety issues 


• Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays and irregular work schedules 


• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed

Job Related & Physical Requirements: 

• Ability and availability to work extended hours including nights and weekends as needed by the customer

Minimum Experience, Education, and Training Required: 

• At least 2-3 years management or supervisory experience 


• Computer applications experience including MS Office strongly desired 


• Compute applications experience on AS400 system helpful
