Document Processing Specialist
Document Processing Specialists create and revise large legal documents accurately and proficiently for the Firm.
Job Responsibilities include
creating and revising complete legal documents that adhere to Firm styles, using advanced skills in MS Word, Powerpoint, Visio and Excel, learning new applications and skills as needed, working alone or in a small team environment, quality checking each work product for accuracy, troubleshooting problem documents, consulting with supervisors as necessary, communicating with supervisors as to job status, problems, etc. and performing other assignments (including providing secretarial support) as needed.
Job Requirement
s include proven ability to organize tasks, work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time. High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred as well as a minimum of two years of document processing experience in a legal or corporate environment. Minimum typing speed of 65 wpm and advanced skills in MS Word XP, plus proficiency and experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe, and some database experience. Must have excellent grammar and proofreading skills, including familiarity with proofreading symbols. Must be capable of solving problems and meeting strict deadlines. Must be available to work overtime as needed and be able to attend one week of paid training and other weekday training classes as needed.
*These positions are located in our New York office. These are part time positions and the hours are: Saturday and Sunday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday; 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Please note that you cannot be employed full time elsewhere for part time positions.
