Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior Account Manager for our Employee Benefits Department.  The Senior Account Executive will have the following primary responsibilities:


  • Manage, strengthen and guide all facets of the client relationship, including the development of a strategic employee benefits plan based on upon a client's needs and objectives

  • Spearhead the renewal process, including but not limited to developing request-for-proposals, analyzing carrier quotes and analyzing benchmarking, claims and contribution data

  • Coordinate new policy installations, including facilitating open enrollment meetings

  • Establish a proactive client communication schedule and ensure client deliverables are conveyed on a regular and timely basis

  • Read, analyze, and interpret insurance policies, coverage amounts and regulations and summarize and explain same to client

  • Recognize coverage gaps and introduce additional lines of coverage

  • Advise Account Managers and Claims Advocates to aid in the resolution of escalated claims issues

  • Attend seminars, sales meetings or educational activities to stay current with the latest developments, trends, regulations in the insurance industry


The prospective candidate requires the following skills and experience:Minimum of five years of relevant experience within the insurance industry (insurance brokerage experience is preferred)



  • Team player that takes the initiative to share knowledge and willingly offers assistance when needed

  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrable aptitude in Microsoft Office suite of applications

  • Insurance agent’s license
