Job Description

Recruiting:
•Develop recruitment strategies for exempt and nonexempt personnel to achieve required staffing levels.

•Visit all our program locations and meet with managers to develop program-specific recruiting plans.

•Develop and maintains professional relationships with college and university placement offices and with professional associations as a source to generate qualified applicants. Attend job fairs.

•Writes and place advertisements using various sources such as employment agencies, colleges and universities, newspapers, professional associations and the Internet. Performs outreach to community sources as needed.

•Provide information on agency services and job opportunities to applicants. Screen and refer qualified applicants to hiring managers for interviewing by matching education, experience and salary requirements with specific job requirements.

•Provide management support, such as but not limited to vacancy statistics, monthly employment activity records, correspondence, record keeping, file maintenance, and other Human Resources data management and reporting.

•Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve the recruitment process and the agency human resource function.

Required:
•Combination of social and human services field recruiting experience; must have the ability to develop relationship with hiring managers.

•Must be able to demonstrate and understand program and staffing needs for various levels of position i.e. Case Managers, Social Worker, Psychiatrist, Program Directors etc.

•Must have the ability to conduct interviews in multiple settings (i.e. office, program or career fair settings).
Selection.

•Review resumes and schedule initial interviews.

•Conduct pre-screen and initial interviews of all candidates.

•Effectively communicate with candidates.

•Conduct subsequent interviews as needed.

Tracking & Reporting:
•Maintain database of all recruiting & selection activity on a daily basis.

•Report weekly activity to the human resources director.

•Report monthly activity at managers monthly meeting.

Additional Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field. MA in Human Resources Management, SPHR/PHR certification a plus. Five (5) years recruiting experience in health, human services, or non-profit field desirable. Relevant experience and ability may be substituted.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

•Considerable knowledge and skill in interviewing techniques and the principles and practices of recruitment and selection.

•A basic understanding of the organizational structure as well as extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedures and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

•Perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. Sensitive to organizational needs, employee goodwill, and the public image.

•Exhibit good judgment, practical day-to-day experience working with a diverse group of people, and hardworking.

•Strong written and verbal skills, organizational excellence, interpersonal skills, and team-oriented. in health, human services, or non-profit field desirable. Relevant experience and ability may be substituted.
