Main Purpose of the Role: |
The Breakfast Room Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of the Breakfast Room's operation, while maintaining a high quality of products following brand standards; create a consistent breakfast experience that exceeds guest's expectations; promote a work environment that allows "Hampton Moments" with guests; assure consistent food presentation, quality and safety; follow all Health Code Standards; order and stocking of approved products; maintain payroll and department budgets and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high. |
Main Areas of Responsibilities: |
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction - Be attentive friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees - Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the breakfast room - Supervise breakfast room personnel - Maintain high level of guest satisfaction and should be reflected on the SALT scores - Manage the business overall financial performance. i.e. inventory goods, waste inventory. - Asssit in coordinating and monitoring all phases of Loss prevention in the outlet - Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner - Monitor quality of service at all times - Assist in menu planning and preparation for in house activities - Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations - Ensure compliance with SOP's - Ensure compliance with requisition procedures - Be visible on the floor and assist staff as needed - Conduct staff performance reviews in accordance with Highgate Hotel Standards - Ensure the training of employees on SOP's, Hampton Standards and technical job tasks.

Experience/Skills and Abilities Required: |
- Union experience a PLUS - Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, will all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. - Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests. - Must be able to multitask and priritize departmental functions. - Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. - Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. - Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. - Perform other duties as requested by management.

Education/Certifications Required: |
- At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4 year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience. - Must have knowledge of F & B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations
