Community Infrastructure is an engineering service organization specializing in site and infrastructure design. It is recognized for their capabilities in site restoration, construction services, civil design and facilities support. Some services are new building construction inspection, civil design, building repair and restoration, drilling, subsurface exploration, & material testing.
General Duties:
As an LS-DYNA Engineer your responsibilities will include the following.
* Pre and post processing of analytical models
* Performing non-linear dynamic analyses using finite element solvers such as LS-DYNA
* Performing analytical modeling of explosion events using nonlinear materials with failure and investigate effects on man-made structures using fluid-structure-interactions algorithms of LS-DYNA
* Performing analytical simulation of vehicular collision with structures using nonlinear material models of LS-DYNA
* Project ownership responsibilities for minor projects including but not limited to organizing project path, tracking project cost, communicating, maintaining data and presenting results
* Preparing detailed plans for setting up and handling large modeling problems, in a systematic way, using established engineering methodology
* Assisting with the completion of projects on schedule and within allocated budget with appropriate documentation for the completed technical work
* Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
* Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* MS in Mechanical or Structural Engineering preferred
* 2 - 5 years of experience in computer aided engineering using LSDYNA
* Knowledge and experience in the areas of finite element modeling of vehicular impact and collision
* Knowledge, analysis and experience in the areas of finite element analytical modeling of explosion effects on structures using the CFD algorithms in the LSDYNA software with FSI capabilities
* Knowledge and experience with non-linear dynamic software such as LSDYNA software and Arbitrary Eulerian-Lagrangian modeling
* Knowledge and experience in pre and post processing of analytical models and presenting the results in an organized and logical manner
* Ability to handle multiple tasks as assigned
* Possess problem solving skills and self-motivation
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, Auto CAD a plus
