Description:
This position, based in New Jersey, will be responsible for leading all training and development functions of a national training team who provide Home Appliance category training for regional and national accounts within assigned regions. This role will also collaborate to develop national instruction design, approach and metrics for training operations while adhering to all company policies and guidelines.
Training, Management & Development
• Participate in strategic planning with leadership to ensure that the direction of team focus is appropriate and positioned to achieve its goals and objectives.
• Assists in establishing requirements for ongoing core curriculum for all training needs across product categories
• Responsible for assisting in completing a training needs analysis for the business and developing national training materials, communications and activities required to launch and/or maintain new product launches
• Develop and evolve ongoing curriculum to ensure product trainers and field representatives stay current with product and technology expertise
• Align strategic plans and goals with functional priorities
• Meet with key stakeholders in a complex business environment to assess training and development needs, review program features and establish priorities
• Helps to conduct ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of training programs and recommends/ implements modifications as necessary
• Works to predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
• Translates complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
Employee Development
• Provide leadership & direction to existing training staff to ensure nationwide success
o Helps to establish and maintain training effectiveness metrics and benchmarks
o Monitors program effectiveness and supports communications to senior leadership and key stakeholders on a quarterly basis
o Closely aligns program effectiveness to quality measurements
• Work with field personnel to ensure high level of product/technology proficiency
Required Experience:
Technical Skills:
• Identify/assess training needs; and design and implement robust training programs, incorporating continuous improvement tools.
• Measure/analyze/evaluate program effectiveness making modifications as necessary.
• Manage Training reps, and other training personnel to include external field representatives.

• Participates as a teacher, trainer, coach & mentor to those who also partner with training.
• Utilize adult learning principles to recognize different learning styles, and effectively match curriculum using various learning techniques
• Design curriculum and coach/assist others who design curriculum
• Ensure training efforts & educational requirements are coordinated and tracked.
• Possesses a proficient knowledge of audio-visual mediums to include computer-based training.

Hiring Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience as a trainer and/or training manager in a high growth/fast paced company
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft office, especially Word, PPT & Excel
• Up to 50% travel outside home market
