Responsibilities:
· Develop and manage project plan for customer implementation projects
· Establish project scope with customer and manage implementations to ensure on-time delivery
· Manages complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
· Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment through coordination of project kickoff.
· Defines resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
· Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
· Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
· Directs and oversees project engineering team and manages conflicts within group.
· Performs team assessments and evaluations.
· Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.
· Demonstrates leadership to define requirements for project risk.
· Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
· Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
· Ensure contract compliance by raising appropriate issues to Account Executives and Sales Managers, ensuring all services noted in contract are delivered in a timely fashion, and contract has been approved by Legal.
· Gather technical requirements from customer for system/application installation
· Participate in Design Review meetings – provide feedback on technical feasibility of proposed solution
· Coordinate and facilitate weekly status meetings with client and implementation team.
· Document and track open issues for client and project team.
· Maintain project artifacts by ensuring all client information/documentation is stored in central repository, and client folders are up to date and contain correct data.
· Provide project management support during pre/post sales process.
· Provide guidance and mentoring to peers as needed.
· Special projects as required
SKILLS:
· PMI/PMP certification Desirable
· Desire to obtain PMP Certification
· Program/Project Managers require scheduling and budgeting experience.
· Demonstrated experience in managing large IT projects such as, datacenter consolidations, or with managed hosting or outsourcing service provider.
· Strong analysis skills, ability to evaluate customer requirements and modify existing solution
· BS in Computer Science or related work experience required but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Min of 7 years as IT project or program manager.
· Detailed knowledge of Operating Systems fundamentals.
· Certification in operating system or network protocol (e.g. MCSE, CNE/CNA).
· Strong written/oral communications skills.
· Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
· Ability to work on multiple tasks/project simultaneously.
· Strong PC skills (Windows, Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project, Visio).
· Ability to work independently.
· Experience in implementing vendor packages, and managing resources in a matrix environment highly desired.
· Experience in leading multiple information systems projects simultaneously through Project Life Cycle.
