Job Description
Global Tax Clients Team Program Manager
The Global Tax Clients Team Program Manager will be responsible for facilitating the Global Tax Clients team day to day operations, act as project manager for key initiatives and activities, as well as manage the Clients team communications to the Global Tax Network. The position serves as a key role on the team with direct involvement in and responsibility for the timely delivery and increased adaptation of programs carried out by the Clients team.
This position reports directly to the Global Tax Clients Team Leader and maintains a client-service relationship with senior leadership in the Global Tax Clients organization, Global Tax Regional Clients Leaders, and Global Tax Industry Leaders, and liaises with other Global Tax Office and cross-functional Global Office teams.
The Global Tax Clients teamsupports Global Lead Tax Partners (GLTPs) in managing and expanding global client relationships through geographies and service lines. The team provides best practices and hands-on support through the development and delivery of tax client development programs.
Core responsibilities
Program Management
The Program Manager will maintain a consolidated viewpoint and coordinate timely delivery of all team projects and take a lead role in managing key team programs including 'TaxMax' and 'CORE.'
General team operations
* Responsible for ensuring key projects, team activities and leadership deadlines are met, while prioritizing projects driven by client deadlines (competitive proposals, client service meetings, etc.)
* Enable on-demand availability of status reports, chart results, and communicate Clients team achievements to the Global Tax Office and Global Tax Leadership
* Create, manage, and update team reports, content, and presentation materials as needed for meetings within the Global Tax Office, other business units and leadership
* Follow-up on action items and activities coming out of periodic leadership and team strategy and planning meetings
* Identity areas where clarification, improvement or increased efficiencies in project management and processes may be appropriate
TaxMax: Targeted Client Development Program
* Coordinate with the Clients team members to manage the efficient, timely delivery of components of the TaxMax program
* Collaborate with broader Global Tax Office team and others to bring best practices and subject matter expertise to the benefit of the program
* Facilitate the delivery of the TaxMax GLTP Community
* Develop, deliver, grow and report on outcomes of the TaxMax GLTP Community Webcast Program
* Explore opportunities to leverage social media by seeking best practices and suggestions from communities specialists and other experts
* Track actions, develop reports, communicate results & outcomes to team leadership and the broader Global Tax Network
* Drive TaxMax through the industry program
* Facilitate program implementation by recommending and guiding the implementation of strategies and resources tailored appropriately for each Global Tax Industry
* Track actions, develop reports and communicate results
* Serve as Global Tax Clients Team Account Representative on selected TaxMax 360° clients
* Initiate client service planning activities and collaborate with the GLTP and designated core client service team to deliver on TaxMax objectives
* Apply best practices, connect teams with needed tools and advisory resources as appropriate
CORE: Global Tax Client Service Planning program
* Review program, needs and use of the toolset with focus on developing program enhancements on ongoing basis
* Identify opportunities and avenues for bringing program higher awareness and adaptation among the targeted client services teams
* Develop plan to announce CORE training to the TaxMax community and wider Global Tax network and increase overall visibility of the program
Communications Coordination
The Program Manager, with the advice and support of Global Tax Clients team leadership, and seeking input from communications specialists, will oversee team communications to the global tax network, including:
* Create an overall annual team communications plan incorporating all focus areas; enable flexibility of communications plans to adapt to changing needs or priorities
* Develop focused and ad hoc communications as required
* Manage relationships with the broader Global Tax Office including Marketing and Eminence, Global Branding, designers, production, communications specialists and marketers as needed
* 6+ years experience in a project management, marketing, business development, proposals, or communications in a professional services environment with at least one year of experience working directly with senior/executive leaders.
* BA/BS in business administration, marketing, English, communications, or related fields preferred
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; excellent listening and facilitation skills.
* Must be able to interact effectively with professionals at all levels and communicate recommendations with diplomacy and tact.
* Demonstrated experience working and influencing from a distance as part of a virtual team, including a sensitivity to and respect for multicultural viewpoints.

* Advanced skills working with Microsoft Office 2007 applications required
* Familiarity with LiveMeeting, Microsoft Project and/or Deloitte Online e-Room technologies a plus
* Ability to travel as required (less than 10%)
