Fitch Ratings is actively engaged in research and analysis of municipal financial and global corporate credits. Fitch’s Transportation Group is considered to be a leader in Toll Road, Airport, Port and Public Transit credit analysis, providing accurate and timely research.
Fitch Ratings is seeking a credit analyst with at least 2 years of experience analyzing U.S. public finance revenue backed credits or project finance credits. A Master’s degree is preferred, but a bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience is acceptable.
Responsibilities will primarily include:
-Gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and legal documents for the purpose of producing ratings, publishing transportation credit reports, and contributing to special research reports.
-In conjunction with senior members of the team, the candidate will meet with senior management of transportation entities and/or project sponsors, investment bankers and financial advisors, to produce these ratings and reports for general publication.
-The position has high visibility and solid growth potential.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment are required.
-Proven analytical ability within transportation project finance areas is a must, in addition to high-quality writing skills.
-The position will be located in our New York office, working as part of a nine person transportation group, which covers more than 180 public and private entities, including project finance transactions.
