Overview:

 


This role is responsible for the development and support of applications in ISP's Microsoft development environment focusing primarily on Supply Chain Spend Analysis.  The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work in all of Microsoft SQL Server development tools with a focus on Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and PerformancePoint.  This role will also assists the Business Analysis team in developing functional and detailed design specifications and data models.




Responsibilities:

 


Major Responsibilities



  • Leadership in the development of data delivery applications using Microsoft business intelligence tools, focused in:

  • o SQL Server Analysis Services

  • o SQL Server Reporting Services

  • o Excel Services

  • o PerformancePoint

  • Provide technical expertise to functional and detailed designs.

  • Proficient in the usage of relational and multi-dimensional database models within a business application.

  • Work closely with supply chain business users and business analyst to define requirements and develop tools to support the sourcing business function.

  • Engage business users, analysts, technical staff, and project team members to design, develop, implement, and enhance applications.

  • Recommend optimizations and reconfigurations of physical application designs and data structures

  • Work with database administrators to migrate applications from development and testing to production.

  • Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies

  • Provide full life cycle architectural guidance and ensure quality deliverables

  • Participates in the development and maintenance of corporate data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards.

  • Assists in the development of overall project plans and timetables.

Qualifications:

 



  • 5+ years experience developing business applications in a SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 environment in both relational and multi-dimensional environments

  • Proficiency in TSQL, MDX, XML

  • Proven experience working within teams to design and develop large scale, global, enterprise-wide business applications

  • Practical experience developing multi-dimensional structures using SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008

  • Practical experience developing end user reporting in SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008


Advantages



  • Exposure and practical experience in web programming, ASP.NET and Microsoft Office Sharepoint 2007 products

  • Practical use of database modeling tools (ERwin, Oracle, Rational Rose)

  • Experience of sourcing/supply chain within a global manufacturing business
