Responsibilities:


 


 


As a Quality Assurance Business Analyst you will participate on high profile project teams, we are looking for a self-motivated professional with strong analytical, communication and client relation skills. Also, having an understanding of the value of time, cost and quality of work. We prefer someone who is able to meet deadlines and ensure seamless deployment of mission critical assignments for our customers


 


Daily responsibility includes the creating and authoring of all appropriate documentation. Communicate with users, staff, and upper management. Mentoring of other staff also required from time to time. Although 40 hours may be required weekly this is more the minimum than the norm.


 


This team member must thoroughly learn and understand our client’s business operation, provide the client with technical systems counsel, and supply solutions that satisfy the client’s ongoing business requirements. This team member should have experience with project management. This team member must have mastery in verbal and written communications. Above all, this team member must possess a mature, responsible, calm and extremely professional personality.


This team member must be able to manage time efficiently and prioritize assignments based on direction provided.


 


Some administrative requirements for this team member will be to submit monthly status reports, appropriate updating of all assigned problem tickets or request for work tickets as well as on time submission of weekly on-line timesheets. Mandatory Attendance at all weekly team meetings. Completion of all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Goals.


 


 


Qualifications:


 


Requirements:


As a Quality Assurance Analyst, the qualified team member will be mainly responsible for:


Actively participating in software development projects.


Provide assistance to the project team to achieve the highest quality of the final products.


Creating and executing test plans and test cases.


Adherence to Quality Assurance best practices.


Managing test effort on software development projects and coordination of user acceptance plans and test cases with respective business unit clients and software developers.


Assisting management and collaboration with other Quality Assurance Analysts in the continued evaluation and refinement of the software test process and Quality Assurance standards.


Ensuring that all QA procedures are properly documented and kept up-to-date.


Assisting in the administration of approved Defect Management tool.


Keeping abreast of current industry trends.


Providing continuous feedback to management regarding ongoing improvement of QA procedures.


 


 


 


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


BA/BS Degree, in a technology related field or other degree preferred.


Certification in any Software Quality Assurance/software testing is a plus.


4-6 years experience in building and specifying mission critical business applications, at least 1 of which is in a client/server environment.


Two or more years of experience using IBM’s Rational Tools mainly with the following as a must:


IBM Rational Clear Quest


IBM Rational Functional Tester


IBM Rational Performance Tester and


IBM Rational Clear Case


Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.


Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries.


Process driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods.


Proficiency with Agile and Waterfall SDLC processes.
