Detailed Description 






Position is responsible for day to day engineering & technical operations support at a FDA regulated ISO certified medical device manufacturing site including utilities, cleanrooms, lyophilizers, project management, PM's, waste water treatment, and environmental compliance with a goal of minimal downtime.


 




  • Implement and improve PM/CMMS activity, and personally handle facility expansion projects, automation etc.



  • Work closely with the management at the site to drive operational improvements in production, cost of quality and safety



  • Identify technical training requirements for Operations/Engineering/Maintenance for new and existing processes/equipment



  • Assist in the development of project justification and engineering proposals including providing input for capital planning process



  • Reduce equipment downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness within the site.



  • Supports technical trouble shooting



  • Ability to assist in planning and execution of mechanical and electrical Best Practice goals



  • Provide technical direction to the other engineers in the design, evaluation and construction of capital projects impacting assigned systems



  • Act as primary technical liaison with contractors



  • Provide recommendations for and implement replacement of equipment and systems due to wear or obsolescence



  • All other duties as assigned.






Job Requirements 








  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Industrial Engineering will be considered with proper experience. Master’s degree preferred.



  • 3-5 years of related experience. Commercial HVAC experience a must. Lyophilizer experience preferred.



  • Strong computer skills, CMMS software experience a must.



  • Six Sigma and Lean Experience preferred



  • Knowledgeable of electrical circuitry, security, and fire alarm systems



  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project



  • Knowledge of PLC preferred
