|
Position is responsible for day to day engineering & technical operations support at a FDA regulated ISO certified medical device manufacturing site including utilities, cleanrooms, lyophilizers, project management, PM's, waste water treatment, and environmental compliance with a goal of minimal downtime.
Implement and improve PM/CMMS activity, and personally handle facility expansion projects, automation etc.
Work closely with the management at the site to drive operational improvements in production, cost of quality and safety
Identify technical training requirements for Operations/Engineering/Maintenance for new and existing processes/equipment
Assist in the development of project justification and engineering proposals including providing input for capital planning process
Reduce equipment downtime and increase overall equipment effectiveness within the site.
Supports technical trouble shooting
Ability to assist in planning and execution of mechanical and electrical Best Practice goals
Provide technical direction to the other engineers in the design, evaluation and construction of capital projects impacting assigned systems
Act as primary technical liaison with contractors
Provide recommendations for and implement replacement of equipment and systems due to wear or obsolescence

Job Requirements |

|
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Industrial Engineering will be considered with proper experience. Master’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of related experience. Commercial HVAC experience a must. Lyophilizer experience preferred.
Strong computer skills, CMMS software experience a must.
Six Sigma and Lean Experience preferred
Knowledgeable of electrical circuitry, security, and fire alarm systems
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
Knowledge of PLC preferred
