Head of Client Administration

Description
The Client Administration Team manages the multi-step account administration process including:
- Account opening
- Account closing
- Asset transfers
- Account reviews
The Head of Client Administration will be responsible for helping to develop and to implement account administration procedures for the Client Account Management group. This effort will also involve defining the role that middle office will play in the execution of the new process. During the development stages and transition to a newly defined process the Head of Client Administration will partner closely with Client Account Management, Compliance, Business Support Group and IT to ensure a complete and seamless transition.
It is anticipated that once the new structure and process has been determined the Head of Client Administration will be responsible for overseeing and training employees in the account administration process to provide and promote Client Service in a structured fashion. This individual must be keenly aware of all legal and compliance rules and regulations and demonstrate an ability to quantify, manage and resolve operational risk in a consistent and timely manner and, with the help of the Client Administration Specialists, ensure that these rules and regulations are upheld in each part of the account administration process. Successful candidate must demonstrate a consistent approach to team building, staff development and identify root causes for reoccurring operational challenges, take initiatives and deliver automation solutions to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.
The Head of Client Administration should be prepared to make improvements on any or all areas of the account administration process so that each step is completed in a smooth and uniform fashion.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree plus a minimum of seven years experience; Higher education degree strongly preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Effective management and team leadership skills for team building and prior experience managing a team
* Experience in Financial Services required; experience in wealth management and/or Compliance is desired
* Problem diagnosis and solving

* Strong problem solving skills, ability to identify root cause for reoccurring problems or complications
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment as well as Operational Risk management

* Proven ability to focus on operational risk management; proactively develop and maintain effective and structured working relationships with internal and external clients
* Capacity to provide clear direction and leadership to the team, know when to delegate, when to get involved. Coach, train and develop staff potential
