Major investment bank is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with extensive Fixed Income/Derivatives experience in NYC (downtown). This is a long term project with high probability of extension. Only qualified candidates need apply.
- Very strong academic background (MBA) - years experience in Capital Market/Investment banking, project and if possible consulting.
- Ideally with experience in Fixed income or Equity Derivative product, trading and post trading processes reengineering, and back office/operations processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business users (or utilizes own experience) to document processes, develop business requirements, complete testing and oversee implementation of change. Where project does not involve IT supported change, the individual may also provide core project management support.
- Candidate will work with the Fixed Income Operations Group to define and implement new or changing processes required to support a dynamic and rapidly growing segment of business.
- Candidate will represent the needs of the business throughout the project lifecycle, providing expertise and working knowledge of various investment instruments, including OTC derivative products (e.g., how they are constructed, processed, settled, valued, and reported.
- This person will partner with the business to define their requirements, write and execute test plans and cases, and monitor test results.
- The candidate must be a dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a bias towards action.
- He or she must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both oral and written).
- The individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and work well under pressure.
- Additionally, the candidate should be able to demonstrate a history of hands-on involvement in IT project work
