Description
Responsible for acquiring new accounts and for the ongoing maintenance of current accounts. Identifies potential customers, makes contacts, and develops strategy for selling merchant service products. Negotiates pricing with customers within established authority. May cross-sell other bank products depending upon customer needs and profile. Maintains reports and contact log for purposes of tracking sales and trends.
Key Responsibilities; Merchant Sales, Business Development
Responsible for acquiring new SMALL BUSINESS MERCHANT accounts within assigned geographic market through actively managing referrals/ leads as well as self sourced prospecting.
Responsible for developing a strong pipeline for new revenue growth.
Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to identify/solicit new revenue growth opportunities.
Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Banking Centers to support mutual Small Business goals.
First Data and Bank of America have signed an agreement to create Banc of America Merchant Services, LLC, a merchant services alliance offering electronic payment solutions at the point-of-sale for merchants of all sizes. This joint venture group is seeking experienced sales individuals to join our team developing new merchant processing relationships with small to medium sized businesses.
This position entails acquiring new merchant services relationships by building strong partner relations with internal sources such as consumer banking centers. This position also involves prospecting external sources such as association relationships, centers of influence and vendor relationships among others.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of bank products/ services. Bilingual abilities a plus, previous merchant services/credit card processing/payments sales experience.
