Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst. This role will get you involved in many aspects of the business and interacting with the executive team. This is a great opportunity for the right, smart, motivated, and engaged person.
Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations (the Investor Relations Officer or “IRO”), this team member is responsible for collaborating with and supporting the development and execution of the global investor relations program.
Specific responsibilities:
• Supports the collection and analysis of relative stock price movements, investors' and analysts' perceptions and opinions, and stock ownership.
• Perform research and analysis of industry, peers and competitors’ financial statements, operational statistics and valuation – as well as other ad-hoc analysis as needed.
• Collaborates with Communications and Marketing team on strategic communication including financial public and media relations.
• Provides organization, logistical, and administrative support for investor/analyst conference calls. Collaborates in the preparation of related scripts and practice questions.
• Aids in the development, design, writing, production and coordination of investor relations presentations to the financial community, as well as other investor materials including press releases and transaction releases.
• Assists the finance team in internal preparing board presentations.
• Handles logistics and administration for conference calls, webcasts, IR website, analysts’ days, analysts meetings, investor roadshows, the annual meeting of shareholders, and other support duties.
• Assist in shareholder questions/issue resolution, as needed.
Skills
Experience, skills, and knowledge required:
• 2-5 years of experience doing in-house investor relations, competitive intelligence, strategy, corporate finance, financial reporting, or similar positions for a publicly-traded company; alternatively, 2-5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or equity research, at an investment bank or investment firm. In-house investor relations experience is desirable if it is from the finance angle rather than the PR or marketing angle.
• We are not looking for someone with in-house public relations or marketing experience, or someone with agency experience doing public relations, marketing, or investor relations.
• Prefer someone with a strong knowledge and background of the capital markets, and who has worked on Wall Street or for a Wall Street-related firm.
• Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills.
• College degree required. A master's degree is nice but not needed. We strongly prefer finance, accounting, or economics majors.
• Strong interpersonal skills, superior intellect, and an outstanding ability to communicate, including strong oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation ability.
• An energetic, efficient, self-motivating and resourceful team player and individual contributor.
