Responsibilities:
The incumbent will provide Financial Management and Reporting for over 4000 geographic units, including annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial metrics, routine and special analysis projects. He/she will prepare monthly financial reports for the department, including forecasted revenue and expense, interdepartmental transfers, cash flow. He/she supports the work of the MGA Treasurer and MGA Finance Committee. This position will conduct Financial Analysis for MGA and its geographic units. He/she will coordinate and track MGA contracts, purchase orders, and independent contractor agreements, worldwide. The incumbent will plan and review annual and long-range financial plans and budgets as well as the financial plans for new business proposals. He/she will develop the business plans/proposals to implement MGA financial projects in a timely and complete manner. He/she will develop the financial impact statement to project plans and proposals in all MGA areas. This individual will manage and develop the finance and administration staff resources to ensure goals are met in a timely manner and are in sync with the strategic plan of the IEEE.
Requirements:
A BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required; an advanced degree in either accounting, business administration, or finance is strongly preferred. This individual must be capable of managing a $40+ million budget, including financial management and annual reporting for over 4000 geographic units. His or her experience must demonstrate success in financial management. He/she she must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in budgeting/forecasting, financial management and should have had management experience, for profit-loss. His/her background must demonstrate cultural agility. He/she must possess the cultural knowledge, flexibility and dispositional characteristics to operate successfully in intercultural situations. Experience communicating successfully with individuals for whom English is a secondary language is highly desirable. Individuals who can demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through mastery of the subject matter of a profession relevant to management of the IEEE global enterprise are preferred. Such credentials include but are not limited to the CAE, CPA. CMA, etc. He/she must possess a valid passport and a valid drivers license. He/she must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. Must be a good communicator across staff, volunteer and cultural boundaries, using all forms of communications media.
