AMS is the premier firm for part-time and interim accounting and financial management professionals servicing for profit and non-profit organizations.

Currently AMS is seeking Consultants and Senior Consultants for our Boston and NYC area to help with our non-profit clients’ needs. Hands on professionals who have experience with professional services staff/client management, budgeting, monthly closing processes, managing relationships with outside tax accountants and have experience using Banner billing are ideal to oversee financial functions at client sites.

Other responsibilities include: non-profit financial reporting, accounting and grants management; reviewing financial statements, preparing and maintaining journal entries, month end close, general ledger, bank reconciliation and payroll; budget forecasting and cash flow reporting and financial operations review.

Requirements:

A minimum of ten years of accounting experience in a leadership role

Solid experience using Banner Software

BA/BS in Accounting/Finance

Prior consulting experience

Experience with QuickBooks, Peachtree, Great Plains, Blackbaud, Excel

CPA or MBA a plus
